Sfi study path 1

Study path 1 is sfi for those with little school background. You may have spent a few years at school, or you may not have been to school at all.

You will learn functional language for use in your everyday life, at work and in society. You will also learn about the world and other basic subjects. You will get help from a tutor who will provide support in your native language.

Content

Introductory course at basic level, as well as basic courses in natural sciences, social studies, mathematics, digital literacy or work skills.

Study time

  • 18 hours a week or full time.

Courses C and D with preparatory foundation

Content

Introductory course at basic level, as well as basic courses in natural sciences, social studies, mathematics, digital literacy or work skills.

Courses C and D also involve studying vocational sfi, which includes:

  • sfi
  • introductory courses on the labour market and working life
  • language practice.

Study time

  • 18 hours a week or full time.

Course content in brief

At sfi, you will learn to:

  • read and write Swedish
  • speak, converse in and understand Swedish in different contexts
  • adapt the language according to different situations
  • speak with good pronunciation
  • use digital tools for learning and communication.
