SFI, Swedish for immigrants
If you need to learn basic Swedish, are 16 years of age or older, and registered as a resident in Stockholm, you can study SFI.
We have a large number of SFI schools offering both daytime and evening classes.

Komvux at elementary level
Elementary level komvux is for those who do not have a complete elementary school education from another country. You can study with us from July of the year you turn 20.
Komvux at secondary level
You can get your high school diploma, study a foundational year in natural sciences, and gain eligibility for university, college, or vocational training (YH). These courses require that you have studied Swedish at a basic level.

All municipal adult education is free of charge. However, even though the education is free, you must pay for books, copies, and other study materials yourself. You may be entitled to study grants and loans from CSN.
